This update adds fixed costumes relating to childhood and Mileena. On the week of June 4, 2011, Double Helix Software released an updated version of the game containing some bug and crash fixes, and minor game improvements that allow the player's moveset options to be adjusted, enabling more costumes to be unlocked and prevented the user from trying out Fatalities if they did not match those of the character's death move. Due to this, the Classic Kombat Fatality is only usable during gameplay.

This also results in losing any player health or life points if they pull off the Death Fatality incorrectly. The Classic Kombat Fatality options cannot be triggered with the default fighting system and if the player tries to pull off the same Kombat Fatality as that of the costume's designated character during gameplay, they will instead get the Fatalities from the original game instead. All of the DLC in Mortal Kombat X also comes with optional Classic Kombat Fatality mode, allowing players to pull off the moves of the costumes' characters.
